There’s something undeniably magical about New York City in November, especially when you’re photographing two people deeply in love, framed by the golden leaves of Central Park. Faelen and Robby’s engagement session was the perfect blend of iconic NYC elegance and romantic autumn warmth. Timeless in every sense, this shoot captured not just their connection, but the beautiful story that led them here.
Faelen met Robby in 2019 at Bar Hugo in NYC, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. During the early days of Covid, the couple split their time between Bally Bridie in Lambertville, NJ (where they adopted their beloved piglet, Lady Bird) and Long Island, NY. They returned to the city soon after and have been building their life together in Battery Park.
The proposal? A complete surprise. Robby asked Faelen to marry him at Bally Bridie, surrounded by her family and animals—including Lady Bird and Miss Piggy.
Faelen and Robby love spending time at the farm, walking the Battery and West Side Highway, and making memories with Maisie, their niece, on Long Island. Their Central Park engagement session reflected all the romance, ease, and deep-rooted connection that defines their love.
With classic architecture, soft November light, and the warm backdrop of fall foliage, their session felt like a love letter to New York.
