Intimate Backyard Nuptials with Personal Touches
Christina and Kevin love the outdoors. Almost every week, they walk to their “secret” spot on the Green Ribbon Trail, which runs along the Wissahickon Creek, and enjoy some brews. Together they purchased a carriage house in Ambler that was built in the early 1900’s and was originally a barn. From the day that they had to make some changes to their wedding plans due to COVID-19, they decided to give the house some extra love knowing that they would most likely get married on this property. From painting the house, making homemade barn shutters, installing a patio in the back, and sprucing up the gardens, the couple knew that this would make their wedding photos a bit more special.
After their backyard ceremony, Christina and Kevin enjoyed portraits along the trail they frequent. We just caught the last bit of light for the day.
Belovely Floral Co. utilized wildflowers in a warm palette to match the end of summer / early fall season.
The bride baked her own wedding cake and even set the decor for the table where her closest family and friends would dine later that night.
It was a beautifully emotional day, and I loved the relaxed at-home setting. Even with a small number of guests, the love present was greater than ever.
