Whimsical, Delicate Terrain Gardens Wedding

Heather and John were originally set to have a large wedding in July of 2020 when COVID-19 abruptly impacted their plans. They decided to move forward with a smaller 50-person gathering in September at Terrain in Glen Mills, PA—and I can’t help but think it was meant to be! From the picturesque, horticultural setting to the menus inspired by local growers and the seasonal harvest, it was truly a one-of-a-kind event with an intimate experience that provided so much meaning to the couple’s growing relationship.

Heather, John, and their guests dined in the Hot House amongst twinkling market lights, a living greenery wall, lanterns, and overhead roping. They toasted to health and happiness before enjoying a seasonal three-course meal by candlelight.

Beautiful florals by Love ‘N Fresh Flowers, heartfelt vows and abundant September sunshine only added to the magic of their wedding day at Terrain. We loved exploring the gardens and nursery during the first look and portraits.

Heather and John could be described as old souls: their romanticism and love for each other was like that in a novel, making portraits effortless. They both wore heirloom 1920s vintage wedding rings, a nod to the past.

Heather and John’s day was filled with genuine love and laughter. The evening ended with s’mores by the fire, sparklers, and a special visit from a butterfly—who we can’t help but think was a late friend saying hello.
